Hello, friends of Bulgarian culture!

Traditional Bulgarian art is on display in Geneva from May 11 in the lounge of the new building of the World Intellectual Property Organization. The occasion is the feast day of Sts. Cyril and Methodius but the event is also on the programme of observances of Europe Day, the Stamen Grigorov Association for Bulgarian education, culture and traditions in Geneva.

The exhibition is organized under the auspices and with the support of the permanent Bulgarian representation in the UN and other international organizations in Geneva.

In the course of nine days, the exhibition will show the visitors more than 40 exhibits, including icons, wood carving and small furniture pieces made by students of the school of applied arts in the north-central Bulgarian town of Tryavna, which has been an art and crafts centre for long centuries.

The Stamen Grigorov Association has been active since 2019. It takes its name from the Bulgarian microbiologist whose work in Geneva is one of the bridges connecting Bulgaria and Switzerland.
