Biography
Grafa undoubtedly is one of the most successful and respected Bulgarian pop artists, being a widely known composer, producer and writer. Over the years he has made movie scores, music for theatre plays and he has written songs and lyrics for the most appreciated and famous Bulgarian performers.
The singer’s professional career involves many awards and worldwide recognition, which proves he is a constant participant in the formation of the modern Bulgarian music. He makes a series of wide tours in halls and club tours. The results are eloquent – no empty seats, full clubs, thousands of fans singing along and constant encores.
He makes support acts for the world famous George Michael, Seal, J Lo and Jesse J concerts in Sofia. In addition to his live performance success, he holds many awards as a form of his unanimous guild recognition, including artist of the decade award from TV MM on the “Musical Awards for the Decade” ceremony. In his prize list he has the record-breaking 40 awards from the different annual music awards of which repeatedly best performer, best album, best song, best video, best composer, best writer wins etc.
The entertainer’s many more accomplishments are yet to begin – he has more than 20 Top Ten singles in the Bulgarian charts and irrefutable number one hits.
His success grows abroad – He is the first Bulgarian artiste to hit the number one at the MTV’s World Chart Express with “Vanilla”. He has eleven more songs aired in the program.
The singer is a son of the musicians Toni Ampova and Kiril Ampov, both part of a trio “Speshen sluchai”. The overall recognition is not coincidental – The artiste’s debuts on the music scene barely ten years old, he has eleven albums released and one book – “The scars on my back”. He is is also a mentor and coach in the seasons 4,5 and 6 of "The Voice of Bulgaria" .
